Geology: The station lies on Tertiary volcanic flows, pyroclastic rocks, and intercalated sediments resting on Precambrian age gneisses. The station lies within 15 km of the first mapped fault of the Easter Rift Valley rift zone.
Vault Conditions: The vault is located in the side of a hill. An isolated pier constructed of concrete extends 6 feet beneath the floor of the vault.
