Dear All,

Although I am unable to attend IASPEI, Torild has agreed to chair the working group V meeting if there is sufficient interest.

This is provisionally booked for Friday (lunchtime) July 1, 2011.

The working group meeting at Cape Town was well attended and resulted in the development of the project mapping tool by PASSCAL ( http://www.passcal.nmt.edu/maps/funded ), which at the time seemed to be of general interest.

The aim of this meeting is to discuss how the working group can better address its goals:

* promote the use of uniform data archive formats and access methods.
* promotion of open access to data after an exclusive use period.
* promote best practice among FDSN members.
* develop and maintain an inventory of available equipment on the FDSN website.
* maintain an archive of metadata about past, current and planned experiments through links from the FDSN website.
* maintain a list of links to ocean bottom seismometer pools.

Please reply indicating whether you will attend a meeting and what your preferred topics of discussion would be. We can then formulate an appropriate agenda.

Regards
Alex

P.S. The mapping tool is available for download here:
