FDSN Network Information

FDSN code XB (1997-1999) Network name Seismic Experiment in Patagonia and Antarctica, A Broadband study of the tectonics and structure of the Antarctic Peninsula and Scotia Sea Regions (SEPA)
Start year 1997 Operated by
End year 1999 Deployment region
Description

5 stations were installed in Chilean Patagonia and 5 stations in the Antarctic Peninsula region. 3 of the Antarctic stations are located at Chilean bases. The goals of the experiment are to determine whether current subduction is occurring at the S.
