| Description |
This network with permanent network code is being used since 2008 to accommodate several temporary INGV experiments in different regions/areas of the Italian territory. Together with the registration of stations at the International Registry this ensures unique, well-defined and publicly available identification of station. In accordance to common practice, it is planed to single out separated deployments and provide the corresponding data with individual temporary seismic network codes in near future. The permanent code TV will continue to be used as fall-back for very short-period deployments, equipment tests, experiments with special or innovative sensors, or in other situations where the use of specific temporary network codes is not appropriate. |
