| Description |
We are planning to instrument the Hodaka Sedimentation Observatory in central Japan with colleagues in Israel and Japan to capture seismic signature of bedload transport in a different river system than our previous local studies. This is a part of the larger EU-funded EnvSeis (https://www.envseis.eu/) program. My colleague John Laronne (Ben Gurion University) and I co-advise PhD student Aiswarya Padmadas, who is exploring seismic data collected at many river sites around the world. This particular site has in-channel instrumentation for sediment collection, and we will provide the seismic data for comparison |
