FDSN Network Information

FDSN code 7L (2019-2019) Network name Soil Soundscape from Seismic Arrays at Golden Gate (Tennessee Valley): GPR extension (GoldenGateGPR)
Start year 2019 Operated by
  • IRIS PASSCAL Instrument Center
End year 2019 Deployment region -
Description

I propose to set up a PASSCAL seismic array along a downslope portion of a well-characterized hill slope in the Golden Gate National Recreational Area, California in order to detect Earth [sub]surface processes (e.g. soil creep, bioturbation) continuously over a period of 6 weeks (April – May 2019) to better understand soil and biotic processes via real time monitoring through seismic signals. GPR survey in the Golden Gate (Tennessee Valley) area. Associated with SEED network Z1.2019.
