Description

Since climate is considered to be an important state-factor in transforming bedrock into a suitable substrate for life, there is a fundamental need to geophysically characterize the deep critical zone in tropical climates. Without this knowledge, it will be difficult to predict how the deep critical zone will respond to increasing global temperatures. This project will collect seed data (near surface seismic refraction) for a future grant proposal to investigate the role of climate on deep critical zone structure.
