| Description | This temporary seismic network in the southwestern Yukon spans the eastern Denali Fault where it exhibits both strike-slip and reverse motions. However, the structure of the fault at depth is not well constrained and serves as the focus of this seismic investigation. The elevated geothermal gradient of the region predicts temperatures more than 40°C at 1km depth and make the area ideal for further geothermal exploration. This network operated during the summer of 2022 and was comprised of Inova Hawk nodal systems connected to 5 Hz three-component geophones sampling 34 locations. |
