Latitude: 54.0125N
Longitude: 23.1808E
Elevation to Sensor: 152
Depth to Sensor: 3
Geology: Soft sediments,
Vault Conditions: The STS-2 sensor is installed in a special casing on the concrete floor of a small bunker 2 x 2 m. Floor and walls of the bunker are decoupled. The Bunker is covered with about 1 m soil on top.
Site Description: The bunker is built into a small sedimentary hill on an opening within a forest. The site is rather noisy at high frequencies due to the geology. A sawmill produces additional high frequency noise bursts for several hours during working days. Temperature stability is poor. Distance to the first trees is about 100 m. A major power line is crossing the area.
