EVENT DETECTOR ALGORITHIM:
At the Canadian National Seismology Data Centre (CNSDC), continuous data are 
archived onto 35 Gbyte DLT IV tapes and CD-ROMs; the CNSN 4-band frequency 
domain event detector creates a list of "refined detections" for further 
post-processing, including automatic locations.
