FDSN Network Information

FDSN code YA (2006-2007) Operated by University of Florida
Network name Transylvanian Basin Attenuation and Anisotropy Deployment (TBAAD) Deployment region United States
Start date Jan. 1, 2006 End date Dec. 31, 2007
Short description

We will record frequent seismicity of the Vrancea Zone intermediate depth earthquakes in the Transylvanina Basin, an undersampled region, to measure seismic attenuation and anisotropy and thereby evaluate models of late stage subducted slab break-off or subcontinental mantle delamination.
