Network name Experiment to Determine Hypocenters and Focal Mechanisms of Earthquakes Occurring in Association with Imaged Faults Near Summeville, South Carolina (Summerville Experiment) Deployment region United States of America
Start year 2011 End year 2012
Short description

The experiment is a deployment of 12 3-component short-period systems in the immediate epicentral area of the 1886 Charleston, South Carolina earthquake. The purpose is to obtain hypocenter locations and focal mechanisms of high accuracy, to test for spatial correlation with Cenozoic faulting imaged on seismic reflection profile data.
