FDSN Network Information

FDSN code XT (2014-2017) Operated by Swiss Seismological Service
Network name EASI - Eastern Alpine Seismic Investigation (EASI) Deployment region Switzerland
Start date Jan. 1, 2014 End date Dec. 31, 2017
Short description

The project aims to investigate the origin of the slab beneath the Eastern Alps, to perform tomographic calculations, the characterize the fabric of the lower crust, compute receiver functions at the crustal and lithospheric scale, to investigate the previously reported Moho gap, and to map the relationship of the Alpine orogen with the adjacent basins and lithospheric blocks.
