FDSN Network Information

FDSN code XM (2004-2004) Operated by University of Cambridge (UK) Earth Sciences
Network name Vestmanna04 (SeiFaBa Project) (Vestmanna) Deployment region United Kingdom
Start date Jan. 1, 2004 End date Dec. 31, 2004
Short description

Onshore-offshore, VSP (vertical, walkaway, and offset) aquisition in Vestmanna, Streymoy, Faroe Islands. 9 6TD Guralp seismometers from SEIS-UK were used to extend the Geometrics geophone line and to get reversals by deploying them on the opposite shoreline.
The data will be used to investigate the seismic properties of the basalt (in particular seismic attenuation and the existence of anisotropy)

Citation Information

Digital Object Identifier (DOI) No DOI is registered for this network.
A Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is a standardized way of identifying electronic records, and can be used to automatically generate citation text. DOIs are recommended for all seismic networks. You can request or register a DOI for this network using the network update form.
