FDSN Network Information

FDSN code XL (1999-2001) Operated by IRIS/PASSCAL
Network name San Francisco/Oakland Dense Array 2000 (SF/Oakland Array 2000) Deployment region
Start date Jan. 1, 1999 End date Dec. 31, 2001
Short description

Record continuous digital data w/1 sec velocity sensors on a 3 km (approx) grid wihtin the core SF/Oakland urban area. Data will be used to:1. Refine 3-D velocity and attenuation structure; 2.Better define the near surface amplification for stroing motion purposes;3. Provide quality intermediate period seismograms to help constrain ground motion modeling.
