FDSN Network Information

FDSN code XL (1998-1998) Operated by IRIS/PASSCAL
Network name Santa Clara Valley Fill structure (Santa Clara Valley) Deployment region
Start date Jan. 1, 1998 End date Dec. 31, 1998
Short description

Record local earthquakes quarries and hopefully telesisms on a 40 elemnt REFTEK array deployed in Sant Clara Valley in central CA 50 km south of San Francisco. Objectives are: 1.P S travel times to better constrain basin structure particularly of 2 deep basins in east and west Valley; 2.Amplitudes and waveforms to refine site responses; 3.Travel times to better locate small EQs along edge of basin.
