FDSN Network Information

FDSN code XK (2010-2010) Operated by Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL, NM)
Network name Big Horn Project Regional Array Deployment (BHRA) Deployment region United States
Start date Jan. 1, 2010 End date Dec. 31, 2010
Short description

We will deployment three five-element arrays in conjunction with the NSF-funded Big Horn project (PIs Anne Sheehan and Kate Miller) over a six month period to record regional earthquakes, mining explosions, and dedicated single fired explosions. The array locations are tentatively proposed to be in Cody, WY, Shell, WY, and a third location in eastern WY that is TBD. The regional arrays may replace several of the short-period stations (total of 170) that will be installed during the same period for the experiment.
