FDSN Network Information

FDSN code XI (2014-2014) Operated by NodalSeismic
Network name Long Beach Broadband or LA Syncline Seismic Interferometry Experiment (LBB or LASSIE) Deployment region United States
Start date Jan. 1, 2014 End date Dec. 31, 2014
Short description

The Los Angeles Syncline Seismic Interferometry Experiment aims to image the deep structure of the Los Anglese Basin syncline. Our intent is to use ambient noise cross correlations to generate Rayleigh and shear wave velocity models down to a depth of 5 km. These velocity products will be used to improve our understanding of the tectonic and structural history of the Los Angeles Basin.
