FDSN Network Information

FDSN code XH (2005-2006) Network name Cascade Tiltmeter Array (Cascade Tilt)
Start year 2005 Operated by
  • Central Washington University, United States of America
End year 2006 Deployment region -
Description

Installation and operation of five long baseline tiltmeters with associated SP seismometers across the Puget Lowlands of Washington State. Each station will consist of two 500 meter long tiltmeters with SP seismometers at each end. These tiltmeters provide nanoradian scale resolution of vertical tilt associated with slow earthquakes within this area and the seismometers will record any associated tremor bursts.
Number of Stations: 5
Channel types and rates: 3 channels, 50sps, continuous
