FDSN Network Information

FDSN code X2 (2016-2016) Operated by Colorado State University (CSU)
Network name Lake Pontchantrain Wind-Wave Monitoring Deployment (Lake Pontchantrain) Deployment region United States
Start date June 24, 2016 End date Sept. 25, 2016
Short description

A very strong 1-3 second signal has been observed in at the former TA station
585B located in Laplace, LA. The signal appears to be correlated to wind
speed. Here, 2 broadband seismometers will be place at other locations around
Lake Pontchantrain to see if a similar signal can be observed.
