FDSN Network Information

FDSN code C2 Operated by Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN Canada)
Network name Canadian National Geomagnetic Network Deployment region Canada
Start date Jan. 1, 2017 End date -
Network Website
Short description

Magnetic observatories are permanent measuring stations with vector and scalar magnetometer sensors that monitor the geomagnetic field to very high accuracy over time scales ranging from seconds to decades and beyond. They require environments that remain stable over many years and that are free from significant cultural (magnetic) interference. Data is transmitted in Seed format and shares the infrastructure of the Canadian National Seismic Network (CN).

Citation Information

Digital Object Identifier (DOI) No DOI is registered for this network.
A Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is a standardized way of identifying electronic records, and can be used to automatically generate citation text. DOIs are recommended for all seismic networks. You can request or register a DOI for this network using the network update form.
