FDSN Network Information

FDSN code 5A (2010-2012) Operated by Oregon State University (OSU USA)
Network name Crustal-Scale Geometry of Active Continental Normal Faults (Basin and Range Normal Faults) Deployment region United States of America
Start date Jan. 1, 2010 End date Dec. 31, 2012
Short description

We plan to deploy a very dense (0.5 to 2 km spaced) array of broad-band seismographs across a crustal-scale Basin and Range normal faults to image their overall geometry. This is a passive experiment using receiver functions for imaging the deep structure of the fault system.
