FDSN Network Information

FDSN code 4D (2010-2011) Operated by Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT GIP Germany)
Network name Parkfield Experiment to Record Microseismicity and Tremor (PERMIT) Deployment region Germany
Start date Jan. 1, 2010 End date Dec. 31, 2011
Short description

PERMIT was a temporary deployment of 13 broadband seismometers near Cholame, California in collaboration with the University of California, Riverside. The goal of the Physics of Earthquake Rupture project is to collect and analyze new earthquake waveform data on the San Andreas fault near Cholame, California, and to measure observable source parameters in order to better understand earthquake rupture
