FDSN code 2F (2009-2009) Network name Taiwan Supplement #2 to TAIGER project (TAIGER-I)
Start year 2009 Operated by
  • University of Southern California (USC), United States of America
End year 2009 Deployment region
Description

The R/V Langseth will be in Taiwan during April-May 2009 in order to carry out an onshore-offshore experiment for the NSF-supported TAIGER project. Taiwan scientists have obtained their own funds to get additional airgun ship-days before and after the TAIGER experiment. We wish to expand the time period that we have the TAIGER-I onshore-offshore RT-130s to include the before (TAIGER-II) and after (TAIGER-III) time periods. This instrument request is for the after time period (TAIGER-3). The experiment array will be the same as for TAIGER-I; we just want to extend the deployment time in order to record the airgun signals that are produced by TAIGER-III.R/V Langseth 2009 schedule (as of 01May2008):3/15 to 4/10 TAIGER-II4/15 to 6/13 TAIGER-I (airguns over by 5/26)6/13 to 7/01 TAIGER-III
