Start year | 2013 | End year | 2013 |
Short description |
The New England Damage Experiment was conducted in 2008. Phase II will answer questions raised since the completion of that experiment. The overall goal is to examine shear wave generation from explosions, but during this experiment we will use TNT equivalent amounts of each explosive (Black Powder, ANFO, Comp B) instead of equal weights. We will also examine explosions in rock damaged by the 2008 explosions with "reshoots". |
